|As a followup on the blog post "How many host are the SPAM coming from ?" i have now collect more data so it can give a more clear picture of where the SPAM is coming from..|
So now it is based on data from 11000 HAM and 49000 SPAM mails there is received from 36960 host on the Internet.
35827 Hosts is only sending SPAM
1114 Hosts is only sending HAM
19 Hosts was sending both SPAM and HAM mails
Now to split the 35827 SPAM sending host some more up
32846 hosts send 1 SPAM only
2400 hosts send 2 SPAM
532 hosts send between 3 and 5 SPAM
41 hosts send between 6 and 10 SPAM
6 hosts send between 11 and 100 SPAM
1 host send 129 SPAM
1 host send 510 SPAM
It seems that all most all spam is coming from bots there is sending only 1 spam and then never return again, so black listing IP numbers is all most use less but at least now i have a list over 584 IP numbers there is sending me between 3 and 510 spam mails, so they can be add as black listed IP numbers in the mail server and now stop the returning hosts.
